This month in our Art Within Reach sale at Clars Auction Gallery, we are offering unique pieces by several recognizable names in art and entertainment. First, we present an acrylic on board painting by Sally Kirkland, a former member of Andy Warhol’s Factory and Academy Award-nominated actress for the 1987 drama film Anna. Kirkland’s brightly colored and heavily textured portrait paintings fuse influence from Expressionism and Pop Art. We are also featuring an oil on canvas painting by artist Wade Reynolds. While living in his native New York, Reynolds created the artwork for the 1960 film The World of Suzie Wong, and later settled in California, where he painted the official state portrait for Governor George Deukmejian. Other notable items include an Erté printed silk scarf, a rare landscape painting by French-American artist Guy Buffet, prints by Victor Vasarely and Jean-Louis Forain, and much more.
