Mahmoud Hamadani (Iranian/American, b.1958), "US Military Spending vs. Axis of Evil - 2005," 2008, wood sculpture, signed, titled, and dated verso, overall: 3"h x 11.75"w x 1"d. Provenance: Collection of Peter Selz (Berkeley, California). Mr. Selz taught at the University of California, Berkeley, from 1965-1988 where he concurrently served as founder and director of the university art museum from 1965-1973. Before joining UC Berkeley, Selz served as Curator of Painting and Sculpture at the Museum of Modern Art, New York from 1958-1965.
