Note: Saegessar was born in Bern, Switzerland. She lived and worked as an artist in Palo Alto from 1976 to 2004. She was represented by Smith Anderson Gallery and exhibited her work nationally at the Cantor Art Center at Stanford University, the deSaisset Museum at Santa Clara University and the Basel Art Fair in Switzerland
