Description
(lot of 32) Two boxes of 29 assorted color slides and 3 developed photographs consisting of rare and never before seen images of a young Jean-Michel Basquiat (American, 1960-1988) and friends, circa 1980. Provenance: Slides originally from Mary Beth O'Hara Dawson's private collect, the ex-wife of Basquiat childhood friend, Shannon Dawson. Shannon Dawson was a trumpet player in Jean-Michel's band "Gray" and also attended City as School with Jean-Michel in 1977-78. Current property of a prominent NYC hedge fund manager.
