(lot of 2) Central or South American short swords: a vintage Brazilian musian's sword with a brass crown twist hilt, a quillon and counter guard, the blade marked "Viuva Cunha Guimaraes & Co., Rio Dejaneia No. xxx8, 1007", fitted with a leather covered scabbard with brass square toe; and a Mexican Military School cadet short sword, eagle pommel with ring handle, frog bears insignia of school, "Ejercito Mixicano, Heroico Militar", black leather covered scabbard with brass fittings, greater length 25"l, Provenance: The Holt Military Museum, Lafayette, California
