Description
French Louis XIV bed attributed to Thomas Hache, (Marianne Clerc, 2010). The bed, comprised of headboard crown, footboard, and siderails, all inlaid with flowers, birds, butterflies, and the date 1690 inlaid at top of crown. after the examination of the bed. Marianne Clerc, the author of "Hache, Cabinetmaker of Grenoble" (1997), and the commissioner of the exhibition, "Hache a Grenoble" at the Musee Dauphinois, 1997-1998. The Hache bed was purchased by the seller in Lausanne Switzerland where it hung for many years in the lobby of the famous Royal Savoy Hotel as cherished art, Appx 39"h x 44"w x 80"l.
