Description
Auguste Rodin (French, 1840-1917), "Jean d'Aire," one of the "Bourgeois de Calais," bronze sculpture with brown and green patina, bears signature "A. Rodin" verso, cast by Alexis Rudier Fondeur, Paris with foundry mark "A. Fondeur, Paris" verso, overall: 18.5"h x 6.5"w x 5"d. Note: "Bourgeois de Calais" group was completed in 1889, this model was reduced in 1895 and cast between 1910 and 1917.
