Robert Edge Pine (English, 1730-1788), Portrait of Sir Horace Walpole, circa 1755, oil on canvas, unsigned, sight: 43"h x 33"w, overall (with frame): 54"h x 44"w. Restoration label to frame verso. Provenance: Estate of Joanna Barnes and Jack Warner (Santa Barbara, California). Ms. Barnes was a Hollywood film actress featured in movies such as "Auntie Mame (1958)" and "The Parent Trap (1961)". Mr. Warner was a prominent architect.
