(lot of 2) American School (19th century), "Surrender of Lord Cornwallis, at Yorktown, 1781," engraving, after the painting by Col John Trumbull, and after Thomas Clarke (American, 19th century), "Sacred to the Memory of the Illustrious G. Washington," 1801, engraving, largest overall (with frame): 9.25"h x 9"w. Provenance: Estate of Joanna Barnes and Jack Warner (Santa Barbara, California). Ms. Barnes was a Hollywood film actress featured in movies such as "Auntie Mame (1958)" and "The Parent Trap (1961)". Mr. Warner was a prominent architect.
