Japanese maki-e kodansu, of rectangular form with a hinged door, revealing three drawers, the exterior and interior black lacquer ground decorated overall depicting pine and wisteria, with silver-inlaid iron hardware, together with a hinoki wooden box, 8.625"h. x 8"w. x 12"d. Provenance: acquired from Tazawa Antiques of Kyoto, Japan, 2006.
