Description
Shoup Collection The 1989 exhibits a healthy dark ruby color, and a reticent, nearly non-existent aromatic profile of spicy wood, damp earth, and vague fruit. It is medium to full-bodied, with high acidity, and noticeable tannin, but without the flesh, ripeness, and extraction of fruit necessary to hold up to the wine's overwhelming structure. The Georges de Latour Private Reserve Winery utilizes the latest technology in combination with time-honored traditions for the production of this exceptional wine that has been widely recognized as the benchmark Cabernet Sauvignon from Rutherford since its inaugural vintage in 1940.
