Description
A Folk Art scratch built carved wood and copper scale model of San Francisco Ferry Building tower executed in 1931, the highly detailed sculpture with a working clock movement, carved capitals, correct placement of windows, and a hinged back for clock adjustment, model also with a carved and shaped metal dome with porthole windows, builder was in WWI and dedicated this model to Henrietta (fiance at the time) 38.5"h x 6.5"w, artist was a longshoreman on the San Francisco Waterfront beginning in the 1920's, and ended up marrying Henrietta in the early 1930's Provenance: By Artist through family descent
