Yves Chaix (French, b. 1936), Illustrations for "The Skinny Prince" and "The Portly Princess," gouache on paper book illustrations and printed book, sheet (for each): 11"h x 8.5"w. This group of works is comprised of Chaix's original illustrations for children's books, written by San Francisco-based author Tom Costner. They utilize bright color and cartoon-like style to depict the book's fairy tale story.
