Description
(lot of 2) Hendrick Goltzius (Dutch, 1558-1617) and Martin Schongauer (French, 1448-1491), "Pieta" and "Adoration of the Magi," engravings, both monogrammed in plate lower center, later printings, overall (with frame/each): 15"h x 11.75"w. Schongauer was known as the most important printmaker in Northern Europe before Albrecht Durer, and Goltzius was a Baroque printmaker known for his Mannerist style.
