A large and rare engraved glass presentation rummer or punch bowl of Masonic significance, circa 1830, possibly Newcastle-upon-Thyme, engraved with Masonic emblems and verse 'THE WORLD IS IN PAIN / OUR SECRETS TO GAIN / BUT STILL LET THEM WONDER AND GAZE ON / FOR THEY NE'ER CAN DIVINE / THE WORD NOR THE SIGN, OF A FREE & ACCEPTED MASON, on hollow baluster stem, 13"h.
