Artist bio: Growing up in a small village in Hoyogo Prefecture, Japan, Kaoru Mansour was always interested in creating things from scratch. She moved to Southern California in 1986. She maintained a passion for visual art and enrolled in extracurricular classes at the Otis Art Institute. She became a freelance visual artist in 1994 and has been doing that full-time ever since.
