Cosway style binding. Symonds, John Addington. Wine, Women and Song. London: Chatto and Windus, 1884. Number 36 of 50 copies of the large-paper edition. Finely bound in a Cosway style binding by Riviere and Son from designs by J. H. Stonehouse. Two miniatures by C. B. Currie "Bacchus" mounted to upper cover and "The Fruit Pickers" mounted to lower cover. Provenance: Estate of Meri Jaye, a renowned maritime collector and interior designer of passenger and cargo ships. Nob Hill, San Francisco
