Description
A group of Ginori porcelain armorial tureens and platters, 19th century, each with gilt Stewart family crest, comprising a pair of two-handled covered tureens, 13"l across handles and (4) platters, lengths between 15.5 and 20.5"l [6 total]. Provenance: Property from the estate of Patricia Moffat Pope, San Francisco, CA. Patricia married George A. Pope Jr. in 1959, and together they built a Thoroughbred horse racing empire that included 27 stakes winners in the United States and Europe. Among the many races they won was the 1962 Kentucky Derby.
