A group of Hermes porcelain salad and dinner plates in the Cheins Courants & Chiens D'Arret pattern, each octagonal plate centering eight studies of hounds or pointer dogs within a yellow border, comprising (9) dinner plates, 10"dia and (9) salad plates, 8"dia [18 total]. Provenance: Property from the estate of Patricia Moffat Pope, San Francisco, CA. Patricia married George A. Pope Jr. in 1959, and together they built a Thoroughbred horse racing empire that included 27 stakes winners in the United States and Europe. Among the many races they won was the 1962 Kentucky Derby.
