A Joseph Minutoli cast stone sculpture maquette for the top frieze of the Rotunda of the Palace of Fine Arts, San Francisco, CA.
Note: The original 1915 Exposition guides state that the entire frieze represents Art being attacked by materialists. This 4-foot example was cast as a model for the 21-foot example now located on the top frieze of the Palace of Fine Arts, San Francisco, California. Minutoli was the chief contractor for decorations and sculpture for the massive undertaking of the reconstruction project.
