A George III repousse sterling monteith, London, probably 1777, the deep well bowl with a wide band of repousse blooming flowers beaded and a deep scalloped beaded border, engraved double horse heraldic crest with ribbon reading 'Frangan Non Electen', worn maker mark, 4.25"h x 11"w 18.6 ozt. Provenance: Property from the estate of Ethel Mary Crocker, granddaughter of Charles Crocker (1822-1888), chief contractor in the building of the Central Pacific (later the Southern Pacific) Railroad, thence by direct family descent.
