A D.K. Miller engraved padlock of early San Francisco interest, engraved 'J.B. Hume, San Francisco, Cal.', Note: James B. Hume (1827�1904) was a renowned detective for Wells, Fargo & Company. His fame rests largely on his capture of the stagecoach robber, Black Bart, after a lengthy investigation. Hume's skill and dedication earned him the nickname "The Sherlock Holmes of the Wild West."
