Description
A Chinese famille rose 'three rams' vase. Shaped in hu-form, featuring tapered body with 'three rams bring bliss' motif and ruyi head band, raised on tall circular foot decorated with blue leaf scrolls band and ruyi motif band, with a trumpet neck decorated with seven bands in various motif, from the top down order with motifs of bats flying over the waves, qilin and phoenix surrounded by eight Buddhist symbols, pomegranate in pink glazed ground , pomegranate in yellow glazed ground, the longevity, and finished with 'hundred antiques' plaque surrounded by floral design in turquoise glazed ground, the neck flanked by a pair of bamboo design handles, bearing Qianlong six-character mark, late Qing period, 17.5" high.
