An English George I gilt bronze mounted ebonized bracket clock, John Gerrard, London, first half 18th century, the arched brass dial with Roman and Arabic chapter ring centering mock pendulum and chamfered date apertures supported on the arms of Father Time, flanked by 'Silent/Strike' and seconds dial and above plaque, twin fusee movement with engraved back plate, all within inverted bell topped case with handle over shaped glazed side panels on a moulded base and block feet, 18"h (including handle) x 10.25"w x 7"d. Note: A John Gerrard was active in London from 1714 to c. 1735. Provenance: The San Francisco headquarters of a national financial corporation
