A Japanese gilt bronze ritual egoro censer. Fluted ash cup carved with mythical beasts, incised with clouds and set on a chrysanthemum base and fitted with a long handle reminiscent of a reishi scepter and pierced at the head and carved with a winged equine mythical beast, 13th century, 16.25" across.
