A Mies van der Rohe 'Barcelona' day bed, produced by Gordon International, an authorized seller for Mies van der Rohe designs, upholstered in black leather stamped 'Made in Italy', fabric tag for Gordon International, 15.5"h x 77"l x 38"w. Provenance: Collection of Henri Christian lveisen, owner of Axiom Designs (later XN Designs). A key figure in introducing Italian furniture to San Francisco, lveisen also maintained a showroom in Soho, New York. Originally from Denmark, his expertise in Danish design was honed during his time at Georg Jensen on 5th Avenue.
