David B. Hickman (American, b. 1942), Accordion, wood and mixed media sculpture, artist label beneath, overall: 18"h x 16"w x 5"d. Provenance: Private collection of the late Sonoma County art collector, Ron Collins. Collins created a private art gallery in a French-style chateau set on a 24-acre estate in the hills of Petaluma. The chateau housed hundreds of works of art by world renowned artists as well as rising local artists. Collins was a major supporter and sponsor of both Marin MOCA and the Oakland Museum of Art.
